Draupadi Murmu is an Indian Politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She previously served as the 9th Governor of Jharkhand from Year 2015 to 2021. Mrs murmu is now in news because she is official nominee of the BJP lead National Democratic Alliance for the 2022 presidential election. She is the first Governor of Jharkhand to complete the five year term and also the first women belonging to a Schedule Tribe to be nominated to the post of President of India.
