You’ll just have to mashed the potatoes, bacon, stuffed with two types of cheese and deep fried to a crispy golden brown and then enjoy it with any kind of sauce.

You just have to make sure that before frying, coated it with breadcrumbs and then deep fried. Croquettes is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. In this article I am going to tell you the recipe by which you can easily make this at your home and enjoy with your family and friends.

Tips for making Croquettes

1. If you don’t want to fry it then you can easily bake it on a cooking sheet at 400°F for 15 to 20 minutes or till crispy and crunchy.
2. You can add more flavour to it by adding eggs and flour with more salt and pepper. If you want smoky flavour then you can mix some smoke paprika to the flour and eggs.
3. You can make small cheese cubes to add both provolone cheese and cheddar cheese in each croquette.
4. You will see that croquettes usually in like a oval shape or cylinder shape but you can shape it into round also like small balls.

Ingredients to make Croquettes

Bacon (6 slices)
Potatoes (1 kg)
Egg (1)
Butter (8 tablespoon)
Milk (2 tablespoons)
All-purpose flour (1 cup)
Pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
Cheddar Cheese (100 grams- cut in cubes)
Provolone Cheese (100 grams- cut in cubes)
Eggs (3h beaten)
Parsley (1/4 cup- chopped)
Breadcrumbs (1 cup)
Vegetable Oil (for frying)
Salt (as per to taste)

For Dip

Bacon (2 slices)
Pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
Sour Cream (1 cup)
Parsley (2 tablespoons- chopped)
Paprika (2 teaspoon)
Salt (1/4 teaspoon)

How to make Croquettes

Instructions to make Croquettes

1. To make this dish, take a large pot and place the potatoes and fill it with cold water, enough to fully cover the potatoes.

2. After this, add 1 tablespoon salt and bring the potatoes to a boil on high flame and then reduce the heat to a medium flame an cook it for about 20 minutes.

3. Now fry the 8 slices of bacon until crispy and keep 2 slices aside for the dip.

4. Now drain the potatoes and place them in a large bowl.

5. After this, add butter, milk, egg, pepper and salt to potatoes and mash it by using masher. Mix the bacon and parsley.

6. Take 3 different plates/bowl, one for beaten eggs, one all-purpose flour and for one for breadcrumbs.

7. You can also add more pepper and salt to eggs.

8. If you want smoky flavour you could add smoked paprika to the all-purpose flour.

9. Now shape the potatoes in small size. Flatten in your hand and place a cheese in the centre.

10. After this, wrap the potatoes around the cheese and shape it round shape or whichever shape you want.

11. Now dip the croquettes first into all-purpose flour and then dip it in eggs and then coat it with breadcrumbs and make sure they are covered well. Do it with all the croquettes.

12. After this, keep it in refrigerator for an hour.

13. Now, take a frying pot and add vegetable oil to it for deep fry and heat it over high to medium heat.

14. Now fry the potato balls until golden brown. Keep them on a napkin line bowl and let it cool a little.

For Dip

1. For this, take a small bowl and add all the dip ingredients and mix it well.

2. This delicious, crispy dish is ready to serve.
