You must believe that this cheesy beef-filled pastry is one of my all-time favourite dish. This dish made with stuffed beef, cheese, fruits and vegetables by baking it or fried it. The name Empanada comes from the word “empanar” which is a Spanish word, which means to wrap bread. This dish is perfect for any gatherings and small parties. It is very easy to make. Cheesy Beef Empanadas made with a savory dough and then stuffed with beef, fruit and vegetables. The dish is well know in the areas including Latin America, Spain, South America, Portugal etc.

Tips for making Cheesy Beef Empanadas

1. Always start out by adding beef or meat, garlic and onions to cast iron pan or frying pan.
2. Cook until beef is not longer pink and onions are translucent, then drain grease.
3. Return to pan and sprinkle with seasoning.
4. Stir and add jalapeños and tomatoes sauce.
5. Always follow this steps.

Ingredients to make Cheesy Beef Empanadas

Ground Beef (500gm)
Pie Dough (2 sheets)
Onion (1 cup diced)
Tomato Sauce (2 tablespoons)
Worcestershire Sauce (1/2 teaspoon)
Cheddar Cheese (1/3 cup shredded)
Yellow Mustard (1 tablespoon)
Pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
Olive Oil (1 tablespoon)
Salt (as per taste)
Sesame Seed
Egg

How to make Cheesy Beef Empanadas

Instructions to make Cheesy Beef Empanadas?

1. To make this dish, heat oil in a large pan.
2. Now cook down onions until golden brown.
3. Now add beef, pepper, salt and cook until meat is fully cooked.
4. Transfer into a large bowl.
5. Now preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
6. Now combine cheese, mustard, tomato sauce or ketchup, worcestershire sauce and 1 teaspoon of salt and mix thoroughly.
7. After this, roll out the pie crust and cut into 4 pieces.
8. Now place a spoonful of the stuffing on one side of the dough, leaving 5mm from the edge and fold over and creating a triangle.
9. Now with a fork, crimp down the 2 sides so the stuffing stays in.
10. After this, transfer onto baking sheet.
11. Now, brush on egg and sprinkle on sesame seeds.
12. Now bake it for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and pie crust is cooked well.
13. Let it cool for a few minutes and serve.
14. Your dish is ready.
