He is Senior Executive Editor in India Today TV. Gaurav Sawant joined The Indian Express as trainee in the year 1994. He has 27 years of experience in journalism. In 1999, Gaurav cover the Kargil conflict. He has also written on the valour of the Param Vir Chakra awardees as part of he Veer Gatha Series. Gaurav was awarded ‘Wings’ by the Indian Navy and has done 5 jumps at INSE DEGA at Visakhapatnam in December 2007. He also done one assisted free fall and one tandem jump with the Indian Navy.
